1. My new kitchen! I have not yet had a chance to cook much of anything in the kitchen, although I did blow out the power in my house by using the microwave when the dryer was going. Anyway, someday I plan to cook things here, but for now it just looks pretty and organized:

2. Halloween. I threw together a costume last night, needing something that I could make in less than an hour for less than five bucks, and that had a shot of winning the cash prize at my office. Even if I don't win, I am proud of my inventiveness. [ETA: I didn't win and didn't even make it to the finals.] Here's the costume:

I am dressed as the election. The bottle of Pepto-Bismol is for all the people who are sick of me. Ha! (Well, I thought it was funny.)

Oh, my dad sent out an email describing what he and my mom are going to be for Halloween: "This Friday we go to our clubdance for halloween Mam goes as aunt Jamima syrope and I go as a pancake."

I CANNOT WAIT to see pictures of the "syrope" and pancake costumes. CANNOT WAIT.

3. I am going to Walt Disney World tomorrow for a week. Bruce has got the whole itinerary mapped out, including where we will eat every meal. And we'll be celebrating John Kerry's victory while we're there!

DO NOT TELL ME ANYTHING DIFFERENT.

Anyway, Bruce got us a sweet, sweet deal on this trip. At the most, we'll have to buy one admission ticket. That's one admission ticket for nine people for seven days. I don't know how he manages to finagle all this stuff, but I am so glad we're going. And there's a big food and wine festival at Epcot while we're there.
