Fat People Don't Get Hungry

Not to throw my hat into this particular ring, but I followed Scalzi's link over to this person, who says, of the hurricane victims-slash-looters-slash-finders:

Oh, they were fat, were they? In that case, who needs food at all! It would do them good to live without food for a week or so. She is so right!
