Not A Stupid Girl
Pink's new video for "Stupid Girls" is partly a response to people who call her fat. Of course they do.
"'People often refer to me as fat, and it has taken a long time for me to come to terms with that,' revealed the singer. 'I have the same thoughts as everybody else. But I'm athletic, strong, fit and healthy.' She was speaking about the video for her new song Stupid Girls, in which she mocks the importance of being thin in celebrity culture."

A friend of mine sent me this video a while ago and I think it's so much fun.
I find it funny that people call Pink fat when all I see is a really muscular athletic girl.
The fact that she got called "fat" is pretty indicative of how that word is just flung about as a general insult.
I love the video, especially the inflatable boobs and falling off the soapy car. Though my favourite part is the little girl picking the football at the end.
I loved that video! I'm seriously puzzled as to how anyone could think she was fat. The world is insane.
Anyone think that in today's American culture "fat", when attached to the noun "woman" or "girl", is turning into a synonym for "can't be easily controlled"?
I'm just sayin'.

WMC, nowadays anyone bigger than Ashley Olsen is "fat".
My favorite part on the video and song is "What happened to the dream of the girl President?/Now she is dancing in a video next to 50 Cent". In that short sentence, she summarized the whole backlash against feminism that started during the Ally McBeal days.
