Katie Cow-ric

Veronica sends along this link which tells the story of a picture, released by CBS, that digitally removed weight from Katie Couric, who is, as we all know, extremely fat. It's always fun to see proof of digital manipulation, isn't it?

Katie's insta-diet

Katie's response: "Couric, who was made aware of the picture's alteration yesterday, joked that she liked the original better. 'There's more of me to love,' she quipped."

I like how her saying that she likes the original better is obviously a joke. Everyone wants to be thin!, right?

and I sent this along because, honestly, I think the "fat" picture makes her look better. The "thin" picture looks downright sickly. Maybe its the photoshop job; its just not right.

but its really sad when the "fat" picture is truly perceived as fat. Jesus.

Long Term weight Loss Solution

I have personally lost about 30 pounds through Yoga and would recommend it as a long term solution . Because once you use yoga your body becomes so efficient in burning fat that it won't collect easily ever again . You can change from a basically fat person to a basically thin person with yoga .

Oh my god...if I'd seen that first picture alone, I would just have thought "oh, there's Katie Couric" without registering that she looked any less skinny than ever. I can't believe it occurred to anyone that she needed to be digitally slimmed down. Sigh...

It would have been nice if she'd had the courage to act freaked out or angry about this rather than feeling like she had to have a "folksy" response. I can't imagine she really took it so lightly.

Also, mo, the word "muumuumtastic" is going right into my vocabulary. Excellent!

Jennifer, above? You have not a clue.

I can get through Brian Kest's entire Power Yoga series (we're talking programs 1, 2, AND 3), but I can't lose 30 pounds (and I average a size 12, so don't even let the word "anorexic" cross your lips), so I'm really not trying to hear it until you've based your research on a touch wider population sample than just yourself.

Let me know the next time you're going to be at Kripalu. We can discuss it.

I reiterate that i have lost 30 pounds through yoga . I would like to add that you do need to have the kind of madness that I had for loosing weight when I started . I am still reaping the benefits of Yoga .
I understand that you may have not benefited as much as I did but i would insist that you give it another shot , perhaps with a greater dose of enthusiasm .
Or there are other ways if you think that yoga is not effective .

The following site has tons of information on weight loss
