- I used to work at Starbucks and as a tutor, and then in advertising, until I got fired. After spending the 2005-6 academic year teaching in Wisconsin, I'm hoping to continue a career as a professor.
- I have an odd sensibility when it comes to interior design.
- I travel as much as I can manage it.
- My family is from Holland.
- I have two sisters (one is a long-lost Dutch sister and the other has a crazy Livejournal) and crazy parents who can't spell. Also two cousins, one of whom is one of my best friends.
- I miss my grandmother all the time.
- Two of my best friends are named "Bruce" and "Tim" in the journal. They both live in L.A., but come visit often enough to make frequent appearances.
